Podcasting Production & Distribution

A podcast is a series of digital-media files, which are distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and computers. The term podcast, like broadcast, can refer either to the series of content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also called podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.

An organization’s ability to provide a wide variety of resources is crucial in the digital arena.  Using tapes and VHS can be costly and difficult to produce and duplicate.  Digital technology offers the ability to make multiple productions at a minimum cost and effort.  With lower cost, changes are easier and production is an as-needed method.  No more storing unused productions, make only the materials you need and have them available for download with no cost for the production piece.
